Second gym I visited while I was in Texas. This time I drove down to San Antonio. Based on the pictures I saw a beautiful facility with new walls, new holds, new everything! This one will be somewhat more picture heavy than text heavy. Decided to start capturing every wall when I visit, but with the amount of ‘areas’ they have it was tough to keep the photos to a minimum.

The gym had a lot of wall space, but the angle options were not that stellar. It was over half vert / slab, and the overhung that had was either shallow, or disrupted by a variety of angles.

The setting itself was OK, but nothing that I felt was exceptional. Low route density as well.

The walls were probably some of the most textured walls I’ve ever encountered. It was a finer, more aggressive texturing than even Walltopia! I barely brushed the wall with my elbow and was left with a tender spot. Same with my hands!

They did use screw-ons, but only on the volumes.

The gym had a great selection of climbing training equipment as well as a large fitness room.
